Night & Day

A spontaneous improvisation, filmed April 1. 2010

Farhud K., a friend of mine, and I were able to use a small auditorium at our university to film a scene for his shortfilm. It was a mere coincidence that a brandnew, unlocked(!) Bösendorfer was standing there.
So after filming the scenes for the shortfilm we simply enjoyed ourselves. This piano was wonderful!! I can still feel it on my fingers.

I didn't intend the title to be "Night&Day". I simply played right out of my impro-repertoir (which is pretty slim i have to say). Since we took only 2 takes, both of them being quite different in character, i thought that "Night&Day" would fit quite well.
There were several moments when i made some mistakes or didn't had a clue how to continue (the ending of the 2nd piece is such a case). But it still worked out somehow ;)
